COSMED Q-BOX – Advanced Body Plethysmography System

 

The COSMED Q-BOX is a next-generation body plethysmography system designed for precise and comprehensive assessment of lung volumes, airway resistance, and respiratory mechanics.

 

The system integrates spirometry, plethysmography, and respiratory pressure analysis into a single unified module, allowing clinicians to perform a complete evaluation of the patient’s respiratory function — with high diagnostic accuracy and maximum comfort.

Q-BOX measures key pulmonary parameters, including:

 

  • Static lung volumes: TGV, TLC, FRC

  • Airway resistance and conductance: RAW, sRAW, GAW, sGAW

  • Spirometry: FVC, SVC, MVV, bronchodilator and bronchoconstrictor tests

  • Respiratory mechanics: MIP/MEP (inspiratory/expiratory pressures), PO.1 (respiratory drive)
